Partnership between Comoros and the UAE to Build a Vocational School in Tourism, Hospitality, and Restaurant Management in Mutsamiholi

Minister of Higher Education, Bacar Mvoulana, received the GIS-KSA consulting company from the UAE in a meeting that is part of the bilateral partnership between the two brotherly countries, according to a preliminary agreement signed last year to build a vocational school for tourism, hospitality, and restaurant management in Mutsamiholi, behind the Mutsamiholi secondary school, with a total cost of 7 billion Comorian francs.

This major project is part of the Comorian government’s action plan to promote vocational education in the fields of hospitality and restaurants. It includes not only the construction of the school but also the provision of all necessary equipment and training of trainers by foreign experts, with a three-year support from the GIS-KSA group. Minister Bacar Mvoulana affirmed his full readiness to work with the relevant authorities to overcome obstacles and ensure the success of this project, which is a priority for the President’s vision. The minister also called for the formation of a committee to monitor the project’s progress until successful completion, emphasizing that these efforts reflect the government’s commitment to achieving its vision for revival by 2030.

The project design office consists of 7 experts, including engineers, architects, and specialists in hotels and restaurants. The office is required to finalize the design before work begins soon, which is expected to take 10 months.
