On the morning of Saturday, October 19, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Education, Said Souli, along with the Minister’s office, welcomed Mr. Yordenis Despaigne Vera, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Moroni, who is based in Tanzania.
This meeting was part of the Cuban diplomat’s official visits, aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries and reaffirming Havana’s support for Moroni. Discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration in education, agriculture, and health, with plans to further these relations at an upcoming meeting in Cuba, to be attended by the Minister of Higher Education in the coming months.
During the friendly discussions, the Cuban ambassador expressed his appreciation for the exceptional hospitality of the Republic of the Comoros and reiterated his country’s strong commitment to President Azali Assoumani’s vision for the nation’s development by 2030.
